Podcast idea: why note apps fail
New note — filed in: IdeasOne ramble — two notes, cleaned and filed. No sorting, ever.
Three steps, zero sorting
-
Speak
One button. Ramble freely — driving, walking, thinking out loud. No structure needed.
-
AI cleans up and organizes
Your ramble becomes a clean note with a title, summary, and tags — filed as a new note, or appended to the living note it belongs to. You confirm appends with one tap.
-
It lands in your second brain
Organized and searchable in the app — and exportable to Obsidian as Markdown whenever you want it there.
Transcription is a commodity. Organization isn't.
Organized, not just transcribed
Your phone can already transcribe. SaidNotes understands what each note is about and files it where it belongs — no folders to manage, no sorting backlog on Sunday night.
Notes that grow with you
New thoughts on an ongoing topic are appended to the living note as dated entries — after you confirm with one tap. Never a silent merge.
Your notes are yours
One-tap export to Obsidian: clean Markdown with frontmatter, in folders that mirror your system. Works on iOS and Android. No lock-in, ever.
Nothing gets lost. Ever.
A ten-minute ramble is precious cargo. Every capture is saved from the moment you stop talking — app crash, dead zone, or a phone call barging in, your words still land in your notes.
Your audio is deleted the moment it's transcribed. Only the text is kept, stored encrypted — and you can delete your account and everything in it anytime.
One plan. Everything.
No tiers, no feature gates. Pick a billing period and get all of it.
SaidNotes is in early access — starting the trial today adds you to the early-access list. We'll email you when your trial is ready.
Fair questions
What happens to my audio recordings?
They're deleted the moment transcription finishes. Only the text of your note is kept, stored encrypted. You can delete your account and all its data anytime.
How does the Obsidian export work?
Every note exports as clean Markdown with YAML frontmatter — title, tags, dates — in a folder structure that mirrors how SaidNotes organized it. Drop it into your vault and it just works. Notion export is on the roadmap.
How is this different from my phone's built-in voice transcription?
iOS and Pixel phones transcribe and summarize — but they don't organize. You still end up with a pile of recordings to sort. SaidNotes understands each capture, gives it a home, and keeps related thoughts together in one living note. That's the difference between a transcript pile and a second brain.
How is it different from other AI voice-note apps?
Three ways. Notes file themselves into an organized system, not just keyword tags. New thoughts append to the note they belong to instead of creating endless fragments — you confirm each append with one tap. And everything exports to Obsidian on both iOS and Android.
Can I cancel easily?
Yes. Subscriptions run through the App Store or Google Play, and canceling takes one tap. The price you see is the price you pay — no trial traps, no retention hoops.
When does it launch, and what do early-access members get?
